What's a workation?
So what's a workation anyways? It means that we'll be coworking together and at the same time enjoying all the beauty and fun that Playa Venao has to offer! You bring your job, we arrange the rest. With 4,5 years experience as a digital nomad, Anouk makes sure you have a hassle free vacation-feel experience, whilst getting work done!

How a vision turned into an experience
In 2015, I moved to India to work for a software company. During the weekdays I was productive at the office and focused on starting my career. Weekends were reserved for traveling and exploring India. After I moved back to the Netherlands and continued my typical ‘working a 9-5’ life there, I could never quite let go of the idea to travel the world. I would go on holidays and extended backpacking trips, but it always felt like I had to choose between work and travel. It was so frustrating, but I also started to slowly discover a solution: location independence. If I could do my job from anywhere, I could combine my career with my greatest passion: travel.
Fast forward to 2020, where remote working quickly became the norm around the world. Digital nomading has become a thing these days. I have since started working as a freelance project manager and traveled throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia whilst delivering for my clients. I met so many other like-minded individuals that would bring their jobs with them as they explored beautiful destinations and go on adventures outside work hours. It’s a wonderful world, but it also comes with challenges. Questions I receive very often: how do you know where to go? Is there a workspace with good Internet for focus hours? Where do you meet new friends? Don’t you feel lonely? Isn’t it overwhelming to be on the road whilst dealing with work targets?
After years of experience, I know perfectly well how to tackle these issues. I’ve mastered the art of productivity and ultimate enjoyment. Every day feels like I’m working and on a vacation at the same time! I get sh*t done for clients and during my free time I go on food tours, mountain hikes, surf sessions, you name it. One of my favorite aspects of this journey has been the wonderful people I got to meet on the road, connect with them and exchange ideas and inspiration. And I want to give you the opportunity to also experience the joy of work and travel. As a project manager, I love organizing and bringing people together. The seasoned traveler in me is so excited to show you some of the best places for work and travel that I’ve discovered over the years: Playa Venao. This place is the ultimate combination of deep focus work and that ultimate vacation-feel.

Example week schedule
The Workation schedule is flexible and can be adjusted to your work hours
Flexibility is key and your work comes first, so the workation activities can be planned according to your work hours if needed. The schedule above gives an idea of what a week will look like during the Workation program.
We’ll start every workation day with a morning meditation for focus & clarity.
The cowork space is available all day & evening for productive work hours.
At the end of the afternoons, we’ll dive deep with workshops such as goal setting and turtle conservation!
Evenings are about connecting with the nature and with each other: think sunset surf, yoga and group dinners!
Every workation weekend, we’ll organize fun day trips for surf, snorkeling & connection in nature! There are also plenty of other activities to choose from, like a massage or a skate class.

My name is Anouk and I’ve been working and traveling around the world since 2019. As a freelance project manager, I love organizing and bringing people together. I preferably work from a beach so I can catch waves during my free time. After years of traveling mostly by myself, I noticed that I was craving deeper connections with like-minded remote workers. At the same time, so many people would ask me how I could make digital nomad life look so easy.
They seemed to have all these limiting beliefs on how difficult it would be to work remotely from places like Panama. So I’m here to show you exactly how I do it and put all of my best experiences over these 4.5 years into a tailor made workation!
